Davis-Taylor Insurance was orginally founded by William Peterson in 1906 and was known as the Peterson Agency. Our Agency was first located in the offices on the north east corner of Downtown Red Oak. William's son, Walt, managed the agency until 1955 when he passed. Ross Davis, who was a marketing rep for The Hartford at the time, went into a partnership with Madge Peterson (Walt's widow) to operate and purchase the agency. Since then a member of the Davis-Taylor family has owned and operated the agency.
Rick Taylor
President
Current owner and president of Davis-Taylor Insurance. Rick has been working in the insurance industry for more than 40 years! Rick was born just north of Red Oak, and besides a short trip to Iowa State University and Chicago, has lived most of his life in Red Oak. Rick is a member of the Rotary Club, Ambassadors of Red Oak, and Elks. He is an avid antique motorcycle and car enthusiast. He is married to Susan Taylor, has two children and three grandchildren.
Ryan Beeson
Agent
Ryan has been a licensed insurance agent with Davis-Taylor Insurance since 2003. Born and raised in Red Oak, Ryan returned after graduating from Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Agricultural Sciences. Ryan resides in rural Red Oak with his wife Samantha and children Tyler, A.J., and Stella. He is active with the family farm’s cow/calf operation. Ryan and his family are also very active in Montgomery County 4H and raise goats each year for show.
Nathan Taylor
Agent
Nathan is the son of Rick and has been a licensed agent since 2010, however, he has spent most of his life as a part of the agency. Nathan was born and raised in Red Oak and graduated Iowa State University in 2009 with a bachelors degree in Marketing. Nathan is married to Jaime Taylor, who also works in the agency as a customer service representative. Together they have a son born in 2018 and a daughter in 2021.

When you purchase an insurance policy from Davis-Taylor Insurance, you will pay the premiums with your credit card or personal check. If you use your credit card to pay the premium, your credit card information is deleted from our records after your purchase has been authorized. A transaction number will be provided to you on your Binder Of Insurance. You may use this transaction number as a reference to the credit card purchase. We do not keep a record of your credit card information. If you pay the premium using your personal check, we will keep a copy of your check in your file.
When you send us e-mail from this Web site, you will provide us with certain personally identifiable information including your e-mail address.
